1. Purpose and Working Principle of Thermocouple heads: 

Used for measuring the temperature of molten steel and high-temperature molten metal. Based on the thermoelectric effect of metals, it works according to the temperature difference between its two sides.

 3.  Usage of  thermocouple heads

 - To select the appropriate length of protective paper tube and temperature measuring gun according to the object and scope of the measurement

 - Attach the  thermocouple heads to the temperature measuring gun, make the pointer of the secondary instrument (or digital display) back to zero. Begin to measure.  

 - It is recommended to insert the  thermocouple heads in to the molten steel at the depth of 300400mm. Do not touch the furnace wall or scumBring up the temperature measuring Lance immediately after the secondary instrument get results. The soak time of  thermocouple heads in molten steel should less than 5 secondsotherwise the gun may be burned out.
